OPEN HANG at Carnegie Center for Creativity!

Artist hanging artwork at an Open Hang event.Last night I went to hang my art at the Carnegie Center for Creativity in Ft. Collins! (CCC is in the old history museum.)

I got to rub elbows with great FoCo artists, as well as emerging artists like myself!
It was so fun to see all the different types of art, and to see everyone hammering, and talking about their art, and walking around and looking at each others' art!

Wednesday-Saturday, February 14-17, 12-6pm: Visit the exhibit, invite your friends!
Thursday, February 15, 6-8 p.m.: Enjoy food and wine at the Artists Reception. Open to the public.

Valentine's Market

Last Saturday I got to participate in the Valentine's Market at Wolverine Farms Letterpress & Publick House here in Ft. Collins.

It was a snowy day and I was surprised to see so many people braving the weather to show up!

The vendors were friendly and supportive and it was fun to hang out with them and to see what everyone else had made!
The Pub also served really good soup and coffee.

Each vendor donated 2 gifts for door prizes for the first 40 guests.
The highlight of my day was when a little girl showed me what prize she got. It was a small painting of Horsetooth rock, the painting in the bottom left corner of this pic. She was so excited! I told her I made that, and her dad said, "What is that?" and she said "It's Horsetooth. I went right there," and she pointed to a spot on the mountain. I said "I've been there too!" and she spent the day showing the painting off to everyone she saw. That made me so happy! It was a long day, but she made it worth it!
